Bright Colored Night

I’m never gonna wait
that extra twenty minutes
to text you back,
and I’m never gonna play
hard to get
when I know your life
has been hard enough already.
When we all know everyone’s life
has been hard enough already
it’s hard to watch
the game we make of love,
like everyone’s playing checkers
with their scars,
saying checkmate
whenever they get out
without a broken heart.
Just to be clear
I don’t want to get out
without a broken heart.
I intend to leave this life
so shattered
there’s gonna have to be
a thousand separate heavens
for all of my flying parts.

Powerpuff Girls was actually a show about a group of small children crushing the patriarchy and no one will convince me otherwise

My kink is kinkshaming other people and I get off by kinkshaming others and if you get mad at me for kinkshaming that’s just you kinkshaming my kink which is kinkshaming, and I will just get off even more.

Why is the blame for romanticizing mental illness lodged at teenage girls documenting/trying to cope with their struggles with mental illness and not grown men who make movies about how medication is evil and schizophrenia is magic powers.

I’m just gonna reblog this every time I see it.

Me too

and grown men who make movies about how women with mental illness are totally life-affirming/crazy hot in bed

Freezing Death leads to Propane Crisis Fundraiser:

Today Lastrealindians is launching “Heating The Rez”, an effort to raise $50,000 to properly heat our homes. We are at a loss that this Northern Plains winter is so dangerously cold, propane prices are so abnormally high, and circumstances are such that because a family could not afford to heat a home one of our Tribal members has passed away, freezing to death on the Standing Rock Nation (North & South Dakota, USA http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/woman-dies-dakotas-propane-heat-home-22379636 ). That is a test of our humanity. Our hope is to convert 20 homes to renewable heating sources in 2014. Buying more propane, at ridiculous prices is the necessary bandaid now, but we are going to move our people forward to regenerative heating sources. Take a look; share the energy.

This is Stephen King tweeting that Dylan Farrow’s New York Times essay about the sexual abuse she suffered at age seven by her adopted father Woody Allen had “an element of palpable bitchery.”

Just in case you never want to read anything by the fucker again.

So now women who are sexually abused as children by a trusted father figure have to be nice and polite when they talk about the trauma? I’m gonna be blunt here. I know King has a lot of fans. I’ve often found him to be an insufferable misogynist. This crosses the line even further. Done with this asshole and everything he’s ever written.

Well, now I know never to buy any of his shit.

Stephen King’s work was a huge part of my childhood and early teens and I’ll never quite be free from that but at the same time I am not even a tiny bit surprised, that’s how done I’ve been with him

Fuck you, Uncle Steve, I hope you get hit by another van and the driver does “Misery” to you
